Remnant of Better Days is a landscape photograph of the once thriving Three Little Bakers Golf Course in Pike Creek Delaware about an hour or so before sunset on a hazy summer day. The lush greens have been over grown with weeds and wildflowers and the old maintenance barn is being consumed by brush. I remember going to the course as a child and how grand the grounds use to be. In some ways this scene was disheartening but it was also calming. It was beautiful to see the light caught the tips of the golden rods and purple wildflowers, as well as the soft of the diffused light from the setting sun; it gave the entire scene a surreal softness.
